Established in the year 1997, Kendriya Vidyalaya Bijapur is situated in the historical city of Bijapur. The Vidyalaya is a CIVIL SECTOR School sponsored by the Government of Karnataka. The Vidyalaya has classes from Pre-Primary to Class XII.

The Vidyalaya has a pupils strength of 731 and staff strength of 35. The Vidyalaya has a spacious campus with a permanent building and all the infrastructural facilities. The Vidyalaya has produced 100% results in Class X CBSE examinations thus mirroring the very essence of teaching and learning process. Under the able guidance of Principal Smt. B. N. Sharadamani and a staff with unprecedented level of commitment, the school is marching ahead towards excellence.

Our Mission

KVS has a four fold mission viz:-

To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees including defence and para military personnel by providing a common programme of education.
To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education.
To initiate and promote experimentations and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like CBSE, NCERT, etc.
To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of “Indianness” among children.
